It recently occurred to me that we have never had a tea party. With the exception of Mother’s Day events, tea parties have been nearly absent from our lives! Shocking, considering who our daughter is.

So a few days ago we righted that wrong and got all dolled up in our finest, dug out Grandma Kobs’ china, and put out a table cloth. We threw all of those yummy treats my students pile up on me at this time of year, brewed some tea, both hot and iced, made some egg nog and settled in for a chat and a sip.

It was a really classy affair. One that may have to be repeated whenever we have piles of treats laying about!
