Our kids are artists.  Both of them spend hours and hours sitting at the kitchen table with reams of paper, crayons, markers, pens and pencils.  Of course this pleases the Papa Bear, who had the same drive as a child to create, draw and imagine.  He still has not lost that, and has passed that same drive onto our children.  Oftentimes our kids are so passionate about their current project that we even tuck them into bed with a pad of paper and a pencil or some other drawing implement that they are welcome to use until sleep overtakes them and they fall asleep and drop the marker.  Yes, marker does sometimes stain sheets, especially the dark green…

Anyhow, a few weeks ago Gigi was learning all about dinosaurs at school and was creating some pretty awesome pictures of her dino friends:

While we were admiring Gigi’s drawing, unbeknownst to us, Jude was at the table furiously finishing his own dinosaur drawing:

He was quite obviously inspired by his sister’s drawing.  We were impressed at that three year old’s ability to include so many details.

Now for the past few weeks this is the art that has been on display at Musee’ de Littlejohnesque Frigidaire.  The rest of the collection can be surveyed here.  Please feel free to make an appointment to come see the pieces in person. Happy drawing!
