T: What is the worst thing about chickenpox?

G: They are gross and disgusting and so not fair. Please let’s not talk about chicken pox. I don’t even want to think about them.

T:What’s worse than chicken pox?

G:Being sick is not worse. I would rather be sick than have chicken pox. I want to go to pre-school.

T: You can go to pre-school soon.

What do chicken pox look like?

G: Pink spots. I don’t want to talk about it anymore.

T: Which one is your worst chicken pox?

G: This one on my armpit. And this one is getting smaller because I am not itching it.

T: What advice would you have for another kid who gets chicken pox?

G: They will get bigger, then smaller, and they will go away soon. When they are on you, you have to stay home from school.
When they are getting better you have to use special spray stuff that makes them not itch.

T: What has been the nicest part of chicken pox?

G:Staying home night and day with your family. you get to have fun with your family and see your mommy sometimes.

T:Would you tell another kid not to scratch?

G: Yes. because it would get worser and it would make scabs and it would make scars. I keep on scrubbing this one all the way up here (on her shoulder). When I am in the bath.

T: Is it good to take baths when you have chicken pox?

G: Yeah it makes them feel better and softer.

G: I feel mad about them.
